Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

Role: Creative Director – Design & Motion

Location: India (Remote working until further notice)

About the role:

In a highly competitive and saturated marketplace creating visually stunning, impactful, and effective creative work is essential. To help us deliver this we are looking for a strong, inspirational Creative Director renowned for their work across this category – to join us on our journey.

The Creative Director will effectively and efficiently oversee and direct conceptual and design projects and will ultimately be responsible for the quality of ideas and the end-to-end design execution of jobs, from brief through to implementation and delivery. The Creative Director will have responsibility for overseeing multiple simultaneous live projects.

We are looking for a multi-skilled creative that will direct, inspire, lead and support all levels of design and creative talent across the account, defining and advancing a positive and highly productive design culture for BRANDTECH+

What you will be doing:

Culture of excellence

  • Design integrated campaigns for Philips, from first layouts and key visuals to finished assets across channels and markets.
  • Make static work move: loops, GIFs, kinetic type and animated end frames for social, digital and DOOH, built from key visuals, product shots and asset sets.
  • Extend global toolkits and supplied assets into new formats and markets, using AI-first tools like Pencil where they help, keeping the idea and the brand intact.
  • Bring stills into motion with AI image-to-video for digital advertising: generate, reject, refine and finish, and make sure the product’s shape, controls and brand details stay exactly right.
  • Recut campaign film for social and always-on: reframed, re-paced and given a new opening for the feed, not just trimmed to length.
  • Edit social-first content with our content creators: hooks, story, pacing, captions and sound, adding graphics and motion where they strengthen the piece and leaving creator-led work alone where they don’t. Build reusable caption styles and motion treatments where they’re useful.
  • Work with art directors, copywriters, our content creators, the producer and the client: planning reviews and deadlines, then versioning, specs and render settings, so what leaves the studio is right first time.
  • To motivate and influence the creative team to constantly strive for excellence in performance.
  • To proactively monitor the quality of design projects being produced and submitted by leading internal review sessions and seeking feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • To oversee and manage the timely delivery of all jobs / projects going through the studio, always taking into consideration the clients’ requirements and expectations.
  • To investigate, propose and implement innovative ways of delivering design services to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • To manage, oversee and coordinate the sharing of knowledge and the facilitation of learning within the team and all other employees to improve business practices, refine processes, aid and promote the development of creative ideas and introduce new services.

Workflow

To work actively with the workflow / studio manager in coordinating the effective allocation of design talent, facilitating information from colleagues, business managers and staff. To provide effective support to meet client demands and to cover flexible working, holiday and sick leave requirements in the most economical manner.

Brand Guardianship

To act as brand guardian to ensure all design collateral produced by the design team is faithful to the client’s brand guidelines.

Customer Centricity

To work actively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the highest level of client service from all team members.

People Management & Development

To manage, train and mentor staff and oversee their professional development, offering knowledge, motivation, support and experience as required, including but not limited to their creative and technical skill, to increase productivity, staff retention and enhanced staff morale.

You would be responsible for both you and your teams to be actively AI proficient and keeping up to date by:

  • Completing ongoing, structured [IIG] AI training including Pencil.
  • Continuously up-skilling using our approved AI tools including Pencil.
  • Stay up to date with evolving AI trends through our newsletters, webinars, hackathons, AI communities etc
  • Facilitate collaborative knowledge-sharing sessions to foster an open exchange of AI expertise and embrace our culture of Learning.

 Required experience

  • Senior-level integrated design experience across brands, campaigns and digital content, with excellent fundamentals: layout, typography, hierarchy and composition.
  • Taste. You know the difference between motion that adds meaning and motion that’s decoration, and your work shows it.
  • Solid motion in After Effects: clean, purposeful animation, kinetic type, transitions, end frames, supers and reformatting across ratios, with the habit of preparing assets for animation and keeping project files organised and editable.
  • Editing in Premiere you already do well and want to do better: pacing, structure and sound for social-first content.
  • Evidence of working inside a strict global brand system and finding the room to play.
  • Practical experience finishing AI-generated imagery or motion into real work in Photoshop and After Effects, and a point of view on what it’s good for and what it isn’t yet.
  • Happy working alongside content creators on their work, not only on your own.
  • Experience with global brands, high-volume rollout or always-on content is a plus. So is Figma.
