Senior Construction Project Manager
Location: 42 W 39th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10018
Job Type: Full time Onsite, Monday-Friday (8:30AM-5:15PM)
Bradford Construction has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to support a Job Order Contract (JOC) with one of our public agency clients. This individual will be managing staff and contractors while overseeing multiple projects of varying complexity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects concurrently, which includes coordinating and assisting with schedules and workload, maintaining the assignment log, conducting staff evaluations, and approving timesheets.
Oversee day-to-day operations, addressing and resolving project-specific managerial, administrative, and operational tasks.
Conduct on-site inspections and prepare detailed field reports.
Assist in the preparation, review, and management of change orders.
Analyze contractor schedules to ensure alignment with baseline schedules and assess time impact claims.
Lead and participate in meetings with client, project staff, and contractors to negotiate, mediate, and recommend resolutions for project disputes and settlements.
Review and provide recommendations on contractor claims related to costs and schedule impacts.
Ensure accurate estimating, evaluation, and negotiation of construction cost, leveraging extensive experience in cost control and construction project assessment.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects in compliance with contract requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 10 years of diverse, full-time technical experience in the construction field with significant exposure to managing all phases of construction.
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a managerial role.
Demonstrated ability to provide analysis of technical questions, conduct costs analyses, manage multiple projects, and deliver results on time and within budget.
Experience working with public agency clients is preferred.
Experience managing Job Order Contracts is a must.
Education: Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is required. #LI-Onsite #ZR
Superintendent
Location: New York, New York
Job Type: Full Time, Second Shift
Bradford Construction currently has an opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to support multiple projects with one of our clients, a NYC Public Agency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and vendors.
Expedite subcontractors and vendors on a daily and weekly basis.
Identify and resolve construction-related issues as they develop.
Supervise self-perform work and develop specialized construction methods to improve job efficiency.
Oversee material receiving, ensuring all items are inspected for quantity and quality, and receiving tickets are signed, coded, and filed properly.
Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost control records.
Support jobsite reporting requirements, including: daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports and updates to the two-week lookahead schedules, monthly updates to the overall construction schedule,
Review shop drawings and submittals to assist project managers in maintaining compliance with the submittal schedule and contract documentation.
Attend all required jobsite meetings.
Maintain consistent quality control in line with company standards.
Minimum Requirements
Experience with NYC public agencies is strongly preferred.
Minimum 8 years work experience as a technical specialist in the construction industry.
Proven experience in interpreting contract documents (specifications, drawings, shop drawings).
Experience in new and modernization type construction.
Valid New York or New Jersey State driver’s license.
Education: Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field, or additional transferable experience. #LI-Onsite
