The Operations Automation Analyst is responsible for the integration, implementation,  administration, and testing of software systems that enable efficient operations within the Integrated Operations Control Center. This role provides daily technical and operational support for the platforms used across IOCC departments, ensuring reliability and seamless system performance. This analyst also evaluates internal processes & workflows then identifies opportunities for improvements. They work closely with the Data & Analytics team to gather data for IOCC key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will have experience with various technologies, operating systems, and networking concepts, with a desire to continuously improve upon that knowledge.

Here's what you'll do

  • Partner with Internal & External business partners to integrate, implement and test IOCC software systems to ensure seamless interoperability across operational platforms.
  • Deploy automation tools, scripts, and applications to streamline operational processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Analyzes and tests current processes and systems to determine effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Evaluate current software state, and proposes future state objectives
  • Coordinate new and changed software functionality with affected business groups
  • Collects data, performs root cause analysis of issues or problems, and proposes solutions according to the current and future needs of the business
  • Partner with IOCC departments to understand workflow challenges and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop solutions to enhance efficiency, improve decision-making, and strengthen overall IOCC performance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain high availability.
  • Stay current on emerging automation technologies and recommend innovative solutions to strengthen IOCC operations
  • Collaborate with Business partners, IT teams, and operations staff to manage system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations
  • Document processes, automation solutions, and system integrations to support knowledge sharing and long-term sustainability

Here's what you'll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in a related discipline or 2-4 years of equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an Airline Operational Control Center
  • Strong knowledge all FAR Part 121 and FAR Part 117 requirements
  • Solid proficiency with AWS systems and logic
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be familiar with the Navblue Radio, Weather Company, and ELP software suites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software systems integration, or automation engineering.
  • Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or Node.js) and strong understanding of API integration (REST, SOAP, message queues).
  • Demonstrated experience with automation scripting, data handling, and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), data validation, and troubleshooting complex system interactions.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification

Skills/Talents

  • Demonstrated ability to interact cross departmentally and drive for a common solution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in real-time operational environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to support cross-functional teams within the IOCC.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to accept ownership, responsibility and accountability
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter
  • Detail oriented & attentive to projects
  • Proven history of impeccable customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization
