We seek a talented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing our operating infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant is a key role at BrightInsight and will work closely with the Controller to perform and coordinate accounting duties within the organization. The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting external auditors and tax accountants, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to scale up in their accounting or finance career; providing broad experience across financial statement accounts as well as contributing to the creation of processes/systems that will lay the groundwork for our company to grow and scale. A successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment and have strong communications skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in researching and applying technical accounting guidance for revenue recognition, internally developed software, equity & stock-based compensation and debt/equity instruments
  • Execute policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely recording of business transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Preparation of journal entries, identify and resolve errors and exceptions in various areas including cash, AR/AP, prepaids, long-term assets, revenue, equity, liabilities, and expenses
  • Primary responsibility for maintenance of the general ledger and month-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, consolidation and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports
  • Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Assist with financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage accounts receivable process, including invoicing
  • Contribute to the development of new accounting processes & procedures to drive efficiency and automation
  • Assist in overseeing international entity management and reviewing financials to ensure compliance with US GAAP and proper consolidation
  • Support external audit requests and/or third-party tax accountants
  • Assist with various projects and implementation of systems 

Qualifications:

Who you are:

  • 4+ years of general accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • High-tech multi-national or SaaS based industry and Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Experience with ASC 606 or ASC 718 is a plus
  • CPA license preferred
  • Highly organized, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Excellent MS Excel skills; knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus 
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

Our Base Pay Range for this position:

$90,000.00 - $120,000.00
