The Opportunity

Brunswick Group is seeking an experienced Executive to join our growing Singapore office.

This role is ideal for an ambitious professional with experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, transactions advisory, equity research, investor relations, financial communications, law, regulatory advisory, public affairs, or corporate affairs who is looking to apply their analytical, strategic and advisory skills in a dynamic environment.

You will work closely with senior Brunswick advisors and corporate leaders across Singapore, Southeast Asia and internationally, helping clients navigate complex strategic situations and communicate effectively with investors, regulators, media, employees, policymakers, and other key stakeholders.

About the Role

Client Contribution & Account Management

  • Support the development and execution of strategic communications and stakeholder engagement programmes for listed companies, financial institutions, investors, private capital clients, and multinational organisations.
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of companies, industries, market dynamics, investor sentiment, stakeholder attitudes, policy developments, and regulatory trends.
  • Draft high-quality client materials including key messages, briefing documents, Q&As, investor communications, media materials, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor financial markets, transaction activity, regulatory developments, public policy issues, geopolitical trends, and broader business developments relevant to clients.
  • Contribute to M&A, shareholder activism, crisis, restructuring, litigation, regulatory, and other special situations mandates.
  • Support client teams advising on complex legal, regulatory, policy, and reputation-sensitive matters, including investigations, disputes, litigation-related communications, and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Produce insightful analysis that helps clients anticipate risks and identify opportunities.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, account planning, and new business pitches.
  • Leverage AI tools, research platforms, and data resources to support client work and improve efficiency.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across Brunswick's global network.

Capital Markets, Legal & Strategic Advisory

  • Support client teams advising on transactions, investor engagement, financial results, regulatory matters, and significant corporate events.
  • Analyse market reactions, shareholder dynamics, stakeholder perceptions, and the broader operating environment.
  • Research investor, analyst, policymaker, regulator, and media landscapes to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Support advisory teams on matters involving legal proceedings, investigations, governance issues, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder communications.
  • Work alongside financial, legal, corporate affairs, and public policy stakeholders to develop integrated engagement and communications strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of corporate governance, disclosure requirements, legal and regulatory frameworks, and capital markets best practice across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • Contribute to strategic recommendations that help organisations position themselves effectively with investors, regulators, employees, policymakers, and other key stakeholders.

Contribution to the Firm

  • Develop strong internal and external relationships across Singapore's business, financial, legal, investor, regulatory, and media communities, while building networks across Southeast Asia.
  • Share insights and market intelligence relevant to clients and the broader firm.
  • Participate actively in Brunswick's training and professional development programmes.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to Brunswick's collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in exceptional candidates with strong analytical skills, commercial judgement, and a genuine interest in business, capital markets, law, public policy, regulation, and corporate reputation.

Candidates may come from backgrounds including investment banking, consulting, law, corporate affairs, public policy, investor relations, financial communications, regulatory advisory, or related professional services environments.

Standout Candidates Will Demonstrate

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, equity research, transactions advisory, investor relations, strategy consulting, law, regulatory advisory, litigation support, financial communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, corporate transactions, corporate governance, legal and regulatory issues, and financial concepts.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and distil insights into clear, compelling communications and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in business, financial, political, legal, and regulatory developments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial judgement and problem-solving capability.
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
  • Experience advising on complex stakeholder issues involving legal, regulatory, governance, policy, or reputational considerations is advantageous.
  • A legal qualification and experience gained in a leading law firm, in-house legal team, regulatory body, disputes practice, or investigations environment would be highly valued.
  • Understanding of Southeast Asian business, regulatory, and political environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, including legal, financial, communications, and public affairs specialists.
  • Experience using research and market intelligence platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Factiva, AlphaSense, or similar tools is advantageous.
