๐ฌ About the Role:
We are thrilled to announce a temporary secondment opportunity within the Product Development Department. This role is designed to provide you with valuable experience and exposure to new challenges and responsibilities, helping you grow both personally and professionally.
As an Operative from Operations, you will bring vital production knowledge to the Product Development team. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement by executing root cause analysis and leading trials focused on existing product recipes and process optimisation across the Operations floor.
โ Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Analysis: Conduct end-to-end root cause analysis across multiple production runs, focusing on collecting relevant data to identify areas for process and yield improvement.
- Process Control Monitoring & Compliance: Actively monitor adherence to established process controls for optimal performance and product quality, working collaboratively with Operations teams to course correct deviations and ensure consistency where necessary.
- Trial Coordination & Leadership: Coordinate and lead operational trials to test identified process improvements, recipe iterations for existing products, and new product development based on customer feedback.
- Project Execution: Actively manage and support key projects.
- Reporting: Document trial outcomes, analyse data, and report findings and recommendations to the Product Development and Operations teams.

- Current Role: Must be a current Skilled or Lead Operative within Production.
- Soft Skills & Attributes: Demonstrated strength in the following areas:
- Creativity & innovation
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail in execution and reporting
- Basic Project management capabilities
- Commercial awareness and understanding of impact on costs/waste
- Technical Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of current production processes, equipment, and challenges (e.g., Marro/Butternut production, gravy mixing, dicing).
- Commitment: Availability and commitment for the full 6-month secondment duration.
