The premier foodservice cloud platform for supply chain intelligence, we've connected over 105,000 restaurant locations to over 1,300 distribution locations, 11,000 manufacturers, and over 275 leading brands. As a Buyers Edge Platform SaaS Solution, ArrowStream customers feel empowered to make informed decisions with our secure cloud-based data management solutions including ArrowStream Central (operators), Crossbow (distributors), and ChainConnect (manufacturers). Not only are we strengthening buying decisions with our industry technology, but we're enforcing pricing accuracy, protecting supply, ensuring quality, and enhancing foodservice partnerships.

This role will be remotely based. We are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

We’re seeking a Business Analyst who will serve as the critical link between business teams (like Product, Sales, and Marketing) and our technical developers. In this role you’ll dive deep into business needs, translate them into clear technical requirements, and ensure solutions are aligned with user expectations and business goals. From analyzing data and streamlining processes to supporting testing and documentation, you’ll play a key role in building products that solve real problems and drive growth.

Your impact:

  • Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations). Translate these requirements into user stories, use cases, process flows, and other functional specifications.
  • Product Development Support: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions. Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. May involve SQL queries or other data manipulation tools.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes. Document current state and future state processes, and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop test plans and test cases, and facilitate UAT with business users to ensure the software meets their needs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Effectively communicate project updates and manage expectations.
  • Competitive Analysis: Research and analyze competitor products and market trends to identify opportunities for ArrowStream's product offerings.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain documentation for software features, including user manuals, training materials, and knowledge base articles. May conduct training sessions for internal and external users.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and analyze problems, and develop creative solutions. Escalate issues as needed.
  • Contribute to Product Strategy: Provide input and insights to the product roadmap based on market research, user feedback, and data analysis.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in the SaaS industry, preferably with experience in the food supply chain or logistics domain.
  • Proficiency in business analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
