Overview of the Role
- This position will perform as if they are the category manager, internal consultant, and trusted advisor to our E-COMM clients. The new Senior Category Analyst will champion the development and maintenance of the go-to-market analytics designed to support, track, and grow core and new product initiatives for all E-COMM retailers and channels. This position will have the privilege of working on and being dedicated to our E-COMM clients. They will develop and maintain value-added and actionable category management tools, incorporating customer learning and strategic brand insights that will guide sales and business managers to achieve sales objectives.

- Salary range $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune
- Present business reviews to clients clearly articulating trends and recommendations to optimize strategic planning and selling efforts.
- Create, maintain, and perfect analytical tools, reporting, and resources leveraged against the client.
- Improve methodology related to reporting, analysis, and quantifying opportunity gaps.
- Analyze shopper and consumer information to develop recommended actions based on insights.
- Track, monitor, and provide actionable feedback on sales trends.
- Utilize sales & advertising data alongside market research to develop fact-based analyses and business reviews.
- Conduct post promotional analysis via in-depth Amazon specific data.
- Evaluate effectiveness of programs and communicate strategy and best practices internally and externally.
- Work with the Account Managers to manage the priorities by online retailer and determine key opportunities.
- Ensure a fluid process from data intake, visualization, testing visuals to production.
What You Should Bring to the Table
- MUST HAVE:
- Prior experience using Vendor Central and/or Seller Central data from Amazon.com.
- Prior Power Query experience.
- Experience programming data visualization platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Power Excel) with the ability to understand the data and proof resulting visualizations from raw data reports.
- Well-honed analytical and highly advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- In-depth experience in selling story development, category reviews, & category management principles.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5-7 years CPG industry sales and category management experience (Natural/Specialty/Organic food and/or beverage preferred).
- Advanced communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in a concise manner.
- A demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking; and the ability to turn self-developed strategies/efficient processes into execution.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You Will Stand Out If You Have
- Prior agency experience and supporting multiple clients.
- Prior experience using vendor and/or seller-side data from Walmart.com, Instacart or other E-COMM platforms.
- Prior experience working with PPC campaign data.
- In-depth experience linking external APIs with in-house data visualization tools(s) and databases.
