AP & Expense Accountant, Vice President

The firm is seeking an AP & Accounting Vice President who is extremely organized, pays close attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity is a hands-on accounting role that focuses on managing the AP process for multiple legal entities, overseeing the firm’s travel and expense program, and processing expense transactions in the general ledger.
Primary Objectives
- Ownership of the entire AP process including overseeing the processing of vendor invoices for multiple subsidiaries through automated AP system (Zip HQ), ensuring accurate invoice classification and obtaining proper business owner approvals for synchronization into accounting GL system (NetSuite)
- Manage all vendor profiles including maintaining banking information and tax forms, and ensuring vendor bills are in line with relevant contracts and agreements
- Manage payment batches through automated AP system and set up intermittent manual payments (ACH, wire) in online banking system
- Maintain AP aging schedule and ensure timely payment remittance to vendors
- Document AP policies, procedures and checklists
- Assist with monthly close, including booking all expense accrual and prepaid journal entries and maintaining related schedules
- Support annual audit process for multiple subsidiaries
- Preparation of year-end expense and 1099 information for tax accountants
- Assist with quarterly sales tax filings for various jurisdictions
- Assist with cash management, bank reconciliations and related journal entries
- Review and process employee expense reports and related reimbursement payments and oversee corporate card program
- Propose process improvements and best practices
- Potential to assist with ad-hoc projects and become more involved with accounting monthly close depending on experience and skill
Qualifications
- BS in Accounting
- 4-6 years relevant experience
- Proactive team player with a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- ZipHQ, Navan and/or NetSuite experience a plus

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $155,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
