Business Analyst
Role Overview
Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs and technology solutions within IT delivery projects. This role combines traditional business analysis responsibilities with Product Owner activities, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, prioritized, and delivered to maximize business value. The individual will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership to drive clarity, alignment, and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Design
• Conduct detailed requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
• Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows.
• Design high-level and functional solution approaches for inputs to architects and developers.
• Facilitate workshops for requirement validation and solution walkthroughs.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for development teams.
• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for proposed solutions.
• Support testing and validation of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Work closely with QA teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and ensure quality delivery.
• Support UAT by clarifying requirements and addressing defects.
Product Ownership Support
• Understand product vision and roadmap in collaboration with business and technology teams.
• Support PO in managing product backlog, ensuring prioritization based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Support PO in writing/refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure clarity for development teams.
• Act as the voice of the customer during delivery, ensuring solutions meet user needs and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Stakeholder Management
• Build strong relationships with business sponsors, delivery managers, and technical teams.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment between business objectives and delivery outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
o 8+ years as a Business Analyst in IT delivery projects.
o Proven experience as a BA or similar role in Agile environments.
o Strong understanding of Banking business and Payments domain
Technical Expertise:
o Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies
o Ability to work with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and other BA/PO tools.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
