Job Title: API Engineer

Location: Pune (Hybrid - 2 days a week from office) 

Experience: Min 5yrs 

Looking for Immediate joiners only

 

Strong language skills in Python (Java, React) AuthN/AuthZ: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS,

API keys; role/attribute-based access control REST fundamentals (resources, verbs, status codes, pagination, filtering, idempotency)

CI/CD pipelines, build/release automation Containers (Docker) API gateways (Kong, etc.), policies, throttling, routing.

1) API design & standards REST fundamentals (resources, verbs, status codes, pagination, filtering, idempotency) Contract-first design, versioning and deprecation strategy

2) Backend engineering fundamentals Strong language skills in Python Data modelling and persistence SQL Asynchronous patterns (queues, event-driven design), background jobs Performance tuning (latency, throughput, profiling)

3) Security (non-negotiable) AuthN/AuthZ: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, API keys; role/attribute-based access control OWASP API Security Top 10 (injection, broken auth, excessive data exposure, etc.) Input validation, rate limiting, secrets management, encryption in transit/at rest

4) Integration & middleware API gateways (Kong, etc.), policies, throttling, routing Service-to-service communication, service discovery, contract compatibility

5) DevOps & cloud delivery CI/CD pipelines, build/release automation
