Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, business, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of event management and event planning experience.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Event-related certifications preferred, but not required
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Events Director, the Events Specialist organizes and manages events to boost profits, build awareness, and drive engagement for Capital Farm Credit. Coordinates with the Events Director to prepare and execute association trade shows and other events, ensuring budget compliance. Communicates with lending markets and departments to elevate visibility of association-level events. This position requires regular travel and occasional weekend availability for key events, such as football tailgates and community outreach events.
Responsibilities
- Add all events to the Association-wide events calendar
- Coordinate staffing with lending market teams for events and trade shows
- Develop concepts for individual events
- Manage budgets for each event
- Oversee site selection, setup, and teardown
- Organize logistics and coordinate with vendors
- Assist with creation and distribution of promotional materials
- Process invoice approvals and payments
- Build and maintain vendor relationships
- Generate post-event reports and summaries

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Creative problem-solving mindset
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel as needed to support events across our territory.
- Occasional evening and weekend work is required for events such as football tailgates, conferences, and community initiatives.
