Staff Data Scientist
Location: Remote (For Non-Local) or Hybrid (Local to NYC area)
Position Summary:
As a Staff Data Engineer at Capital Rx Health - Judi Care, you will serve as a technical lead for our data engineering team. You’ll architect and build scalable, reliable data pipelines and systems that power analytics, machine learning, and product features. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and data science to ensure our platform meets both immediate business needs and long-term infrastructure goals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop classification and regression models using statistical and machine learning techniques; evaluate performance and share insights with stakeholders
- Analyze healthcare data (e.g., claims, provider networks) to discover trends that inform product improvements and user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into scalable analytical solutions
- Serve as a data advisor for teams seeking rigorous testing and complex analyses to drive strategic decisions
- Mine and interpret data to optimize product development, provider network strategies, and overall business operations
- Partner with the broader data engineers to enhance data integrity, consistency, and accessibility
- Work closely with data engineers to deploy models in production environments
- Own and constantly improve our data, finding opportunities for deeper learning and insight and proactively improving our product
- Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on data analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Economics
- Proven ability to apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling to solve real-world problems
- Comfort with Snowflake or Databricks; proficiency in SQL, Dagster and Python (AWS experience a bonus)
- Adaptable to change and excited by new ideas and processes
- Proactive self-starter with an ownership mindset, requiring minimal direction and eager to ship product features quickly and efficiently.

Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
Salary Range
$175,000 - $225,000 USD
