Position Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll combine technical leadership with hands-on coding to build scalable, high-impact healthcare technology. You will:
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and improve existing functionality.
Preferred Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and collaborative spirit:
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and improve existing functionality.
- Write and test high quality code based on design specification and product requirements with minimal support from team and senior engineers on the team.
- Participate in planning and design discussions with product managers and designers.
- Write clean, maintainable code using technologies like Python, React, and AWS.
- Conduct testing and debugging software to ensure high quality.
- Become a subject matter expert on your team’s products.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Code of Conduct: Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
- Previous Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) experience preferred.
- Git code management skills with experience working in a mono repository preferred.
- Strong Python (Flask/SQLAlchemy) and TypeScript (React) experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database knowledge, e.g. common table expressions, windowing functions, views, stored procedures, full-text or geospatial indexing techniques.
- Proficiency targeting infrastructure as code with a security mindset (AWS, Terraform).
- Participation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- A history of delivering complex web applications to the cloud.
- Strong knowledge of unit testing across multiple paradigms.
- Experience working with microservices/an API-based application paradigm.

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, knowledge, skills, and location of the job.
Remote, US Salary Range
$86,400 - $136,000 USD
New York, NY Salary Range
$108,800 - $136,000 USD
Denver, CO Salary Range
$100,000 - $125,000 USD
