Overview:

Capstone is currently looking for an individual to join our Solutions Platform as a Junior Structurer. Reporting directly to our Head of Structuring, the position will be based in New York City. Capstone Solutions was developed in 2010 as a customized solutions platform to create volatility-based solutions in collaboration with our investors. This is a truly unique opportunity to join a growing team, work directly with the firm’s senior stakeholders, and gain valuable insight and exposure. Must be technical (strong mathematical/statistical background with ideally coding experience) with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative structured product strategies
  • Build and maintain analytical tools with back test & pricing 
  • Execute custom client analyses
  • Create informative research cross-functional teams
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments
  • Drive continuous improvement of Equity and X-Asset products 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or above required: Study in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2-5 years’ work experience
  • Experience on QIS / Exotics / Structuring desk is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel
  • Programming knowledge in Python
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in capital markets, finance, derivatives, and economics
  • Flexibility: Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects

The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 USD. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
