Senior Quality Technician
Please note this role requires being onsite in our Redwood City office Mon - Fri.
You have...
- High School diploma or GED required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
- Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions
- Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel
- 2 + years of quality technician experience in an ISO9001 manufacturing environment building hardware products
- Experience with Mechanical and Test Equipment use, i.e. calipers, digital microscopes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical assembly drawings, plumbing and instrumentation documentation
- Experience using hand tools for mechanical and electrical inspection is required (torque drivers, feeler gauges, calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc)
- Experience with PCB testing and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in using Windows operating systems, navigating file trees, and installing software and drivers
- Experience with inspecting and assembling to IPC 610 & 620 standards
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
You will...
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- First article inspection of components for new and changed designs and suppliers
- Update and assist in the development of inspection procedures
- Maintain quality and timely flow of production materials to work centers
- Continually seek process improvements and make recommendations
- Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies including material defects found during IQA
- Participate in MRB process including containment and segregation of suspected nonconforming material, assisting in investigations and testing activities, and providing detailed findings to the team
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Report potential quality problems and take preventative action

In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $36.06 per hour, taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role.
