Sr. Manager of Security, IT & Cloud Operations

We’re currently looking for a Sr. Manager of Security, IT & Cloud Operations that will take a key role on our United States location-neutral team. You will lead and guide a team of dynamic and highly motivated DevOps, Security, and IT engineers to support CardFlight’s infrastructure, create and implement technology roadmap and lead our remote IT strategy. You will work closely with your team and the other leaders of the department to help solve problems, set direction, and drive the product forward.

What You’ll Do
Team Management
- Facilitate career growth in a team of engineers, including performance reviews, goal-setting, and regular 1:1’s
- Drive team to sustainably high output
- Ensure the team has the right process in place for them to succeed
- Build team cohesion and facilitate team building activities
Engineering Leadership
- Create strategic vision for Cloud Operations/DevOps
- Participate in leadership discussions to drive the department forward
- Work across teams to solve problems and coordinate major initiatives
- Provide input and feedback on department wide policies and processes
- Partner with Engineering Leadership and other department stakeholders, to ensure that team level goals are being met
- Participate in the recruitment process across the department
Team Engagement
- Get involved with company-wide meetings and outings
- Become immersed in the payments industry
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 3+ years professional experience leading a DevOps and IT team, including goal setting, performance management, and direct/formal mentorship of team members
- Experience building a team and all aspects of recruiting including interviewing and making hiring decisions
- Extensive knowledge operating in highly scalable, secure AWS environments
- Understanding of services architecture, containerization and DevOps practices
- Prior experience with CI/CD tools (Github, Gitlab, CircleCI)
- Experience successfully balancing multiple priorities and complex projects
- Very strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or nuanced concepts successfully, both verbally and in writing
- Past experience with security and compliance audits (SOC2, PCI)

SwipeSimple is a software solution that enables small businesses to accept payments seamlessly via phone, tablet or computer. SwipeSimple is sold through a partner network comprising financial institutions, merchant service providers, and independent sales organizations. The solution is also sold directly by CardFlight through SwipeSimple Connect.
The standard annual base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $185,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for cash bonus and equity awards based on factors such as experience and performance.
