Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Lawyer to join our Philippines office. You will work primarily for the Philippines team, with opportunity to assist on regional matters. This position reports to the Regional Senior Lawyer in the Philippines, the Philippine business team, and General Counsel based out of Singapore. 

Experience and Skills: 

  • 5-6 years experience in an in-house legal team or law firm is required  
  • Ability to work in small, dynamic and scaling team 
  • Needs to be robust 

Role Detail: 

  • Assist the business teams in relation to transaction structuring and preparation, review, and negotiation of legal contracts (e.g. term sheets, lease agreement, share purchase agreements, development service agreements, PPAs, EPC contracts, financing documents) based on templates 
  • Assist in the conduct of due diligence for renewable power projects 
  • Provide legal support on M&A and project development matters such as land, regulatory and permitting (including liaising with government agencies and local government units), EPC, and financing  
  • Advise on general corporate matters and day to day activities such as commercial contracts, office leases, employment matters etc. 
  • Conduct legal research where necessary 
  • As may be needed, opportunities to work on regional APAC matters in Peak Energy's other countries 
  • Assist in Compliance matters using a risk assessment tool; 
  • Any other task assigned by the Regional Senior Lawyer, country business teams, or General Counsel
