TITLE: Intake & Eligibility Specialist (VIRTUAL)
REPORTS TO: Participant Engagement Manager
LOCATION: Virtual
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt Employee
Career Team is looking to hire an Intake & Eligibility Specialist who will serve as the first point of contact for jobseekers and community members entering workforce services. This role is responsible for completing intake, determining program eligibility, and ensuring that each participant file contains accurate and complete documentation in accordance with contract requirements. Work is performed under the supervision of the Program Manager.
Your Impact on Career Team's Success:
- Serve as the first point of contact for community members and jobseekers interested in WIOA, TANF, and SNAP workforce services
- Complete intake and eligibility determination for assigned workforce programs
- Collect, verify, and document all required eligibility information in accordance with Federal, State, local, and corporate policies
- Enter data into WIT and process applicants through any participant information system as required
- Maintain accurate individual case files in WIT, assuring each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements
- Schedule appointments and refer eligible participants to the appropriate Career Advisor or program
- Provide clear information to applicants regarding program services, requirements, and next steps
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation
- Support orientation sessions and other group presentations for new participants
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling participant information
- Complete all required reports within the data management system
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset
- Other duties and projects as needed
This position is expected to be 100%Virtual.
To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed documentation requirements with accuracy
- Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
- Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, and organizational skills, with strong oral and written communication
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- A Valid Driver's License

Salary: $48,000 - $52,000/yr
