The Problems You'll Solve

The Sr. Finance Systems Admin role will proactively improve and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Carta’s enterprise finance systems with a primary focus on  NetSuite and related peripheral systems. This role will demonstrate strong influence and communications skills to collaborate internally with Finance, AP, AR and IT teams. The position will act as an advisor to the organization on system efficiency and effectiveness. The position will be the primary internal system admin and support contact for NetSuite, Stripe, Zip, and other finance systems and will also support  the Zuora Billing/Revenue lead as needed .

Other responsibilities include:

  • Estimate, design, implement, and maintain configurations and customizations of NetSuite to meet the evolving needs of the finance team
  • Partner with internal users and stakeholders, assisting with data analysis, business process mapping, reporting needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain proper system access for user roles ensuring compliance with segregation of duties
  • Provide internal, ongoing system/technical support to Finance users, including training with a focus on superior customer service
  • Monitor end user usage of business systems and track performance
  • Provide front line support with regards to all aspects of business facing applications and troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and resolve issues
  • Develop, document and implement policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure data integrity, system integrity and security
  • Responsible for the change management and release process of NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, and other finance applications
  • Provide quality and timely communication regarding system status.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system functionality, customization and integration 
  • Support onboarding of additional business units and acquired subsidiaries onto Zuora Billing and related quote-to-cash systems

The Team You'll Work With

The Sr. Finance Systems Admin role will report to and work closely with the Finance Systems Senior Manager as well as partner with stakeholders across the Company in finance, accounting engineering, and business systems.

About You

A successful candidate for this position will demonstrate the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in NetSuite administration, configuration, and third-party integrations in complex environments
  • Hands-on experience with roles, permissions, page layouts, custom objects, SuiteScripts, workflows, reports, and dashboards
  • Proficiency in SQL, CSV imports, user provisioning, role definitions, analytics, JavaScript(JS) and script scheduling
  • Strong background in data analytics, reporting, and database management (SQL and NetSuite preferred)
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and financial reporting concepts
  • Strong understanding of business processes  (O2C & P2P), system requirements, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of the hire-to-retire process and system access management
  • Experience in project management, system implementation, and integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while collaborating across teams.
  • Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining professionalism under pressure

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience with Zuora Billing/Revenue and Stripe
  • NetSuite and/or Zuora certification

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 
 $164,538 - $194,750 in San Francisco, CA

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
