The Team You'll Work With
You’ll be joining our Lifecycle Marketing team, reporting to our Head of Integrated Marketing. The Lifecycle Marketing team works closely across Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, and Marketing Operations to deliver a world-class foundation for email that both drives revenue and enables customers.

As an Email Marketer, you’ll contribute to email execution and operations, driving email’s growth as a revenue producing channel while putting the customer experience at the center of every communication.
- Oversee the build and deployment of all marketing emails, owning email sends end-to-end: including setup, segmentation, scheduling, testing, deployment, and reporting.
- Manage daily email operations: designing and building email campaigns, database segmentation, system testing & troubleshooting, deployment, optimization and A/B test emails
- Investigate unexpected dips in email performance indicators, testing hypotheses for the why behind the metrics, and taking actions to solve.
- Adhere to the marketing calendar to ensure emails are shipped on brief and on schedule
- Build forms, audience lists, emails, nurtures, and automation in Marketo and other Marketing Automation tools
- Upload lists for offline Campaigns, ensuring they are properly tagged and support Carta’s Campaign Data infrastructure
- Ensure outcomes of marketing campaigns are measurable and ladder up to Campaign objectives; increasing key inputs to successful pipeline generation from emails such as deliverability, open and click-through rates.
- Build email performance reports that provide visibility into marketing’s impacts and opportunity
- Support Sales Handoff - ensure leads are handed off with context and actionable next steps
- Ensure our campaigns are aligned and compliant with data and privacy requirements
- Perform Quality Assurance on emails and review with stakeholders
About You
The ideal Email Marketer should possess the following experience:
- 3+ years of experience with B2B marketing with an emphasis on email and marketing operations experience
- Strong knowledge of email marketing setup and optimization using best practices
- Strong analytical skills, a data-driven approach, using results to support strategy is a must.
- Strong understanding of Marketo
- Strong business reporting skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while dealing with ambiguity
- Experience in SaaS, degrees in writing, business and/or analytics a plus
- Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to communicate the right level of information to Dem Gen leaders and cross-functional teams at the right cadence
- Results-driven self-starter with the ability to prioritize.
- Growth mindset, who gravitates towards complex, multifaceted challenges
- Hands-on problem solver with proven technical background to troubleshoot and solve sophisticated problems within the Marketing tech stack
- Organized and detail oriented
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- High EQ, friendly, and helpful partner across Carta GTM
