Graduate Digital Growth Specialist

Leeds, UK

WE EXIST TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF ATHLETES AND TEAMS

Our mission is to improve the performance of athletes and teams, which we do by engineering the premier technology platform for sport. We've been at the forefront of sports technology and science since 2006 - we don't just work in the sporting industry, we are actively changing its future.  Our solutions are designed to help athletes and coaches “play smart” in a world where 1% can literally mean the difference between winning and losing.

We work with over 3,000 teams around the world, empowering coaches, managers and trainers in premier teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, AFL, NRL, NCAA and more. We provide the information they need to optimize athletes’ health, game-day readiness, and performance, as well as in-game tactics.  Our solutions include wearable technology, video analytics, and athlete monitoring solutions, and we are passionate about helping sports organizations at all levels to better scout, recruit, teach, and win.

About the Role

Are you curious, motivated, and ready to start your career in marketing? We’re looking for a Junior Digital Growth Specialist to join our Global Digital & Growth Marketing team.

This is a graduate-level role where you’ll learn by doing — working closely with two senior marketing team members, supporting their projects, and building your skills across a wide range of digital marketing activities. You’ll be part of delivering global campaigns, updating our digital channels, and tracking results, while learning how different areas of digital marketing work together to drive growth.

You’ll have the chance to build a strong foundation in all areas of digital marketing, with clear opportunities to grow your skills, take on more responsibility, and progress your marketing career over time.

This role is perfect if you’re organised, willing to roll up your sleeves, and excited to grow in a fast-paced, supportive team environment. You don’t need prior experience — just enthusiasm, attention to detail, and the confidence to ask questions and try new things.

What You’ll Do

  1. Digital Marketing Support
  • Assist the team in delivering digital marketing activities across various channels, including website updates, SEO, SEM, paid media, email marketing, and social media.
  • Support the coordination of digital marketing activities so everything aligns with the wider team’s objectives.
  • Help prepare, upload, and schedule content for our website, social channels, and email campaigns.
  1. Growth Marketing Assistance
  • Contribute to growth marketing initiatives aimed at attracting new customers and improving conversion.
  • Support demand generation efforts by assisting with campaign setup, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Help prepare and document growth experiments and A/B tests across different marketing channels.
  • Assist in making small updates that improve the customer acquisition funnel.
  1. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Help collect, organise, and carry out basic analysis of marketing performance data.
  • Support the team in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for campaigns.
Assist in preparing dashboards and simple reports for internal review.
  1. Global Campaign Coordination
  • Assist in delivering global campaigns, ensuring messaging and assets are adapted for different countries and audiences.
  • Support collaboration with regional marketing teams by helping to organise communication and share resources.
  1. Team Collaboration & Learning
  • Work closely with senior members of the Digital & Growth Marketing team and cross-functional colleagues in Product and Sales.
  • Take part in regular team meetings and learning sessions to deepen your understanding of digital marketing strategies.
Help with internal and external communications, including liaising with vendors where needed.
  1. Digital Presence & Content Support
  • Help ensure brand messaging is consistent across all digital touchpoints.
  • Assist with website updates and content management to improve user experience (e.g., updating text, images, and links).
  • Support the content strategy by helping with content creation, proofreading, and distribution across channels.
  1. Martech & Innovation Learning
  • Learn how to use Catapult’s marketing technology stack and assist with basic platform tasks.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing.
  • Support research into new digital channels and technologies the team could test.

What you’ll need

  • An interest and ideally some experience in digital marketing, marketing support, or related roles (internship experience is a plus!).
  • A strong academic background in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in digital marketing, growth strategies, and the SaaS industry.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels (e.g., social media, email, SEO/SEM concepts).
  • An analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to work with data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar platforms is a bonus, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative team player mentality.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll know you’re making an impact when you can point to:

  • Campaign Execution: Digital campaigns, content, and updates launched on time, error-free, and aligned with strategy.
  • Growth Contribution: Small funnel optimisations and experiments that improve our conversion or generate clear learnings.
  • Data Clarity: Accurate dashboards and reports that highlight what’s working and help guide our decisions.
  • Experiment Impact: A/B tests or experiments are run that deliver measurable performance improvements.
  • Skill Growth: Increasing confidence with martech tools, data, and digital marketing best practices.

Why This Role is Different

Most entry-level digital and growth roles just focus on execution. This one gives you a front-row seat to our strategy and growth goals.

You won’t just post content or pull reports — you’ll learn how to run experiments, analyse data, and see how digital marketing drives real business outcomes on a global scale. You’ll help to build the foundations of growth marketing, campaign strategy, and martech — skills that will set you apart for the rest of your career. And the best part? You’ll be doing it all at the heart of one of the world’s most exciting and fastest-growing industries: sport.

Whether you’re interested in sports or not, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing your work is supporting some of the most successful teams and athletes on the planet!

Research shows that while men apply for jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job ad, please still get in touch! We would love to have a chat and see if you could be a great addition to our team. We are building the future of sports performance. Our priority is to find the brightest talent that can add to our team culture, those who actively contribute and who are excited about what they do.
