Digital Experience Manager

We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Digital Experience Manager leading the Marketing and Communications Department. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Director, this position: 

  • Manages, leads, and performs a variety of digital communications oversight functions, acts as a subject matter expert, and provides guidance on departmental operations
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and optimization of externally facing digital platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences across web, mobile, and other digital touchpoints for both Medi-Cal and Medicare lines of business
  • Manages, supervises, mentors and trains assigned staff 
  • Performs internal and external communications site administration and analyzes department metrics to ensure goal alignment

ABOUT THE TEAM

We are brand champions, working collaboratively to create relevant, effective and clear marketing communications to support operational goals and promote understanding of our services for the populations we serve.  

The Communications and Marketing Department provides expertise and enterprise-wide support for all internal and external communications, talking points and messaging, media outreach, design and branding, copywriting, project communications support, outreach materials, company-wide presentations, and photos and videos.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • A seasoned digital communications professional with demonstrated skill in managing teams and overseeing digital communication strategies and user journeys
  • Analytic and data oriented, with strength in the design and optimization of online communication and digital experiences that align with organizational strategic priorities 
  • Familiarity with trends and limitations with emerging technologies, including AI 
  • Expertise in overseeing website design and user experience as well as online communication properties such as search engine intelligence, email marketing, and automation platforms 
  • Adept at working collaboratively and cross functionally to create and manage compelling content design  
  • Is highly organized and skilled at moving work forward, identifying obstacles, meeting tight deadlines 
  • Is comfortable working in evolving environments and understands change management 
  • Has the ability to work cohesively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with others, interact with others with diplomacy and tact and thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments; healthcare is a plus  

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Knowledge of:
    • Principles and practices of digital communications
    • Web design principles, user experience best practices, and digital accessibility standards
    • Website, CMS, email and SMS platforms, such as WordPress and Mailchimp, analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Ushur, and basic HTML/CSS
    • Tools and techniques associated with building and maintaining external websites
    • Content management systems
  • Ability to:
    • Train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff, promote an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation, and motivate staff to achieve goals and objectives
    • Plan, organize and prioritize the work of others, delegate effectively, coordinate activities and projects, and follow up on work assignments
    • Act as a technical resource and interpret, explain and apply complex laws, rules, regulations, programs and processes related to area of assignment
    • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations related to digital accessibility, privacy, and security, such as TCPA, HIPAA, 508, WCAG 2.1+, and CMS and DHCS regulations
    • Develop work plans and workflows and organize and prioritize department activities
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Computer Science, UX Design, Communications or a related field
    • A minimum of six years of experience in a communications environment which included performance support, configuration, development and administration of on-line internal and external communications properties and a minimum of one year of lead or supervisory experience (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying. 

OTHER INFORMATION

  • We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below. 

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Typical areas in Zone 1: Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles area, San Diego area

Typical areas in Zone 2: Fresno area, Bakersfield, Central Valley (with the exception of Sacramento), Eastern California, Eureka area

 

Zone 1 (Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz)

$110,780 - $177,258 USD

Zone 2 (Mariposa and Merced)

$100,810 - $161,304 USD
