We’re urgently hiring compassionate LPNs & RNs to care for this sweet 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome and autism who’s been in the hospital for over a year — not because of her medical condition, but because there’s been no home staff available to support her.

She is trach- and G-tube dependent, and uses a ventilator at night. She lives in a calm, pet-free home with her mom. No siblings. Paid training provided!

Responsibilities

  1. Perform duties outlined in patient's plan of care
  2. TBI + SCI rehabilitation
  3. Pediatrics / Geriatrics
  4. Ventilator and Tracheotomy care (Training available)
  5. Gastrostomy tube care
  6. Dispensing medications
  7. Observe client’s physical, mental and emotional conditions.
  8. Report any changes
  9. Document observed changes
  10. Communicates effectively with Clinical team to increase optimal outcomes
  11. Maintains professional nature within the home setting
    
     

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

 

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  2. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions 
  3. Ability to utilize computers/tablets and computer software
  4. Current state license as an RN or LPN
  5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  6. Current negative TB skin test or negative chest X-ray
  7. Current flu vaccine
  8. CPR certified
