Job Posting: Wind Turbine Technician Instructor- 15 Week Assignment


Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Wind Turbine Technician Instructor to join our instructional team. In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise in a dynamic classroom and/or lab setting. You’ll play a key role in delivering hands-on instruction, fostering student engagement, and supporting the academic success of future wind turbine technicians.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective, engaging instruction as scheduled in classroom and lab environments.

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support curriculum development, class scheduling, and equipment/tool readiness.

  • Maintain accurate student records, including academic and attendance documentation.

  • Submit reports such as grades and evaluations in a timely and compliant manner.

  • Communicate concerns and student attendance issues to supervisors promptly.

  • Apply proven student retention strategies and complete required instructor development modules.

  • Attend faculty and in-service meetings, and support inventory management for classroom tools and supplies.

  • Assist with other instructional or administrative duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the wind turbine or related technical field.

  • Strong communication and instructional skills with a student-centered mindset.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

  • Highly organized, analytical, and proficient in multitasking.

  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); familiarity with CampusNexus a plus.

Certifications (Required or Attainable Upon Hire)

  • OSHA 10-hour Safety Certification (within 6 months)

  • CPR Certification (current or within 3 months)

  • NCCER Certification (within 6 months)


 


Schedule: Split Shift – Monday to Thursday (Friday/Saturday/Sunday off)

  • Shift 1: 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM

  • Shift 2: 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly compensation of hourly rate up to $36/hour based on experience and qualifications.

  • $5,000 completion bonus upon successful completion of the 15-week assignment.
