Admissions Representative – Future Opportunities
Locations: Norfolk, Newport News or Chesapeake
Schedule Options: Full-time; Varying Schedules
Compensation: $20-$32 / hour, depending on location, experience, qualifications and other factors
Position Overview
We are currently accepting applications to build a talent pool for upcoming Admissions Representative roles across our Hampton Roads campuses. These roles offer the opportunity to support students through the enrollment process, connect individuals with career-focused education, and contribute to our institution’s continued growth and success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Enroll qualified students who meet admissions criteria
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, interviews, and in-person meetings
- Guide applicants through the admissions process and support enrollment milestones
- Meet enrollment targets and maintain strong start rates through effective follow-up and communication
- Collaborate with internal teams and support on- and off-campus recruitment events
- Maintain detailed, accurate records using CampusNexus and complete all admissions documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and help prospective students make informed decisions
- Ensure compliance with admissions policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Report activities to the Director of Admissions and participate in team meetings and planning
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or outreach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- 1+ year of admissions or enrollment experience
- Experience working in a campus environment or education-related role
- Familiarity with CampusNexus or other student information systems
Work Schedule
Schedules vary based on the location and campus needs. Typical schedules include:
- Schedule 1:

- Monday – Thursday: Two shifts: 9am – 6pm AND Two shifts: 10am – 7pm

- Friday: 8am – 5pm
- Schedule 2:

- Monday-Thursday: 9am-6pm and 10am-7pm

- Friday: 9am-5pm
-
- Saturday (once a month): 9am-1pm
