OVERVIEW
As an IT Project Coordinator, you’ll support the PMO by organizing and monitoring ongoing IT projects, ensuring project plans, schedules, hours, budgets, and expenditures stay on track. You’ll excel in task delegation, match team members’ strengths to tasks, and thrive in problem-solving with your project management and technology skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process incoming projects and sales orders, setting up projects in the project management system.
- Track timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to keep projects within scope and on schedule.
- Support project managers to schedule engineers and field technicians for various project tasks.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring resources and equipment are available.
- Maintain and distribute all project documentation, including plans, timelines, meeting notes, and status reports.
- Prepare project summaries and reports for clients and internal teams.
- Participate in project kickoff and planning meetings, assisting with project plans and task assignments based on team members' strengths.
- Support the Project Manager in addressing challenges that may affect timelines or budgets.
- Monitor projects for risks, escalate issues as needed, and verify that project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Coordinate tasks to maintain workflow, align with project goals, and support team communication.
- Facilitate smooth handoffs and support general team needs throughout project execution.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Project Coordinator in Information Technology disciplines.
- 1-2 years of experience coordinating teams of engineers on project assignments
- MSP experience
- Experience with MSP-related tools: ConnectWise, Kaseya VSA, PRTG, and ITGlue.
HOURS AND LOCATION
The hours for this position are typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. This is a fully remote opportunity.
