About the Role
Title: Proposal Development Lead
Reports to: SVP of Business Development and Operations
Location: Remote, USA
CharterUP is seeking a proactive Proposal Development Lead to support the growth of the company by developing and managing proposal responses. In this collaborative role, you'll work closely with sales teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders across all business segments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CharterBus and Transportation, with experience in proposal development, content organization, and cross-team collaboration. This role goes beyond proposal writing, encompassing tasks such as content organization, project coordination, and supporting various business segments company wide.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the proposal development process, collaborating with sales teams, engineering, product, legal, and other internal departments to draft customized responses for RFPs, RFIs, MSAs, and other proposals across all business segments.
- Enhancing proposal development by creating a digital content library, streamlining content organization and ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Take ownership of ancillary proposal-related tasks, including managing login portals, coordinating the completion of pre-qualification forms, and ensuring compliance with submission requirements, deadlines, and formatting.
- Contribute to enhancing internal processes by optimizing proposal workflows and ensuring efficient document management.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure proposals are comprehensive and deliver the most effective solution for potential clients.
- Support sales efforts with presentation materials, proposal reviews, and recommendations based on client needs and presenting on proposals to potential clients.
- Utilize your experience in the CharterBus industry sectors to ensure proposals resonate with industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in proposal development, project coordination, or related roles within the CharterBus, Transportation, or Transit industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, or a related field,
- Proven ability to manage proposal content, write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals, and organize complex documentation.
- Adept project management skills and the ability to collaborate across departments while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, proposal management software (e.g., Loopio, RFPIO), and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Familiarity with legal and contractual language, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and a strong understanding of procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams across multiple business segments

- $80,000 - $90,000 Salary
