About the team/role
We are looking for a Deal Desk & Pricing Senior Analyst, Commercial to join the Financial Planning and Strategy team (FP&S). This person will be a critical teammate on a strong Deal Desk team that is driving tangible impact to our growing business daily. In this role, you will be a key driver of our pricing and discounting approach across the majority of our customer base.
The ideal candidate has a highly analytical background and orientation for structured problem solving. Comfort working in a high-pace and ambiguous environment with a large number of cross-functional business partners (sales team) is important.
What you’ll do
- Mid-Market & SMB Deals: Own pricing of our Mid-Market & Commercial deals. Collaborate with our Sales team daily to create deal structures that are a win-win for customers & Checkr.
- Enterprise Deals: Collaborate with a Deal Desk Sr. Manager to structure and price deals for our Enterprise customers. Build analysis that clarifies the profitability of these deals.
- Data, Infrastructure and AI: Own and enhance our data infrastructure, refine regression models, and leverage AI to reduce deal turnaround time and improve financial outcomes.
- Analysis and Frameworks: Conduct in-depth analyses to assess performance in pricing optimization and margin improvement. Develop and evolve the Discount Framework.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance Deal Desk processes. Proactively propose and implement improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Create playbooks and recommendation memos that provide clarity on our processes and proposed changes. Provide live and async updates to Leadership, the Sales team, and cross-functional teams (ie. RevOps, Revenue Systems, Accounting, etc).
What you bring
- 4+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategic Finance, Deal Desk, BizOps, or RevOps.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and BI skills (SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with usage-based pricing models or businesses with tangible COGS.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze ambiguous data and synthesize actionable insights.
- Collaborative, open-minded team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment. Our Deal Desk process is a dynamic sport
- Experience with Salesforce, strong proficiency in SQL and Looker.

At Checkr, we believe a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and encourages connection. Our hub locations are Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Santiago, Chile. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week. Starting January 2026, hub-based employees will be expected to work from the office 3 days per week. In-office perks are provided, such as lunch four times a week, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The base salary range for this role is $124,000 to $146,000 in San Francisco, CA
