Onsite Only (Mahwah, NJ) - Tech Lead

We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in software development, infrastructure, and web application design. In this role, you’ll shape our infrastructure strategy to ensure our systems are scalable, efficient, and reliable. You’ll lead initiatives that explore questions like “How can we speed up our app?” and “How do we prepare our platform to seamlessly handle increasing traffic?” ultimately driving solutions that elevate performance and reliability across the board.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive backend, infrastructure, and DevOps strategy.
• Architect scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, infrastructure, and integration challenges.
• Oversee backend development, coding standards, integrations, and APIs.
• Lead infrastructure tooling, cloud strategy, automation, and CI/CD.
• Evaluate new tools and frameworks to improve efficiency.
• Set metrics and KPIs for infrastructure performance.
• Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Manage infrastructure budgets with cost optimization in mind.
• Communicate technical solutions effectively to all stakeholders.
• Conduct all code reviews, ensuring quality and consistency across the team.
• Manage frontend and database infrastructure, addressing slowness or repetitive issues tied to poor architecture.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software development experience with a strong focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
• Solid DevOps experience: automation, deployments, monitoring, reliability.
• Proven ability to optimize web application performance and scale systems.
• Experience with frontend and database infrastructure.
• Comfortable in Agile environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: experience building and scaling custom internal software.
