About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, dynamic, and results-driven Head of Sales to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and market expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy, manage and grow the sales team, and establish scalable processes for success. This role requires a visionary leader with a hands-on approach, exceptional sales acumen, and a track record of delivering measurable results in the healthtech industry.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a proven ability to thrive in startup or growth-stage environments and be willing to travel.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals.
- Create and maintain a set of best practices for the Chorus sales organization.
- Conduct market analyses to identify growth opportunities, including channel sales and adjacent market spaces.
- Team Building and Management:
- Build and scale a high-performing sales team, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training.
- Establish a robust sales training program to ensure team excellence.
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and career growth opportunities for team members.
- Pipeline Management & Sales Forecasting:
- Own the full sales funnel, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Prioritize public sector RFP opportunities, ensuring team alignment and mobilization.
- Maintain a balanced pipeline, focusing on near-term (<6 months) and longer-term (6-18 months) opportunities.
- Implement sales process structure and fundamentals resulting in accurate quarterly sales forecasts and adherence to best practice pipeline coverage ratios
- Revenue and Metrics Ownership:
- Drive closure of high-value contracts, ensuring alignment with annual and quarterly targets.
- Develop repeatable sales playbooks and ensure CRM adoption for accurate forecasting.
- Publish detailed hiring and revenue plans, tracking progress against benchmarks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with product management, marketing, and customer success teams to align strategies and optimize customer outcomes.
- Advocate for customer needs to shape product roadmaps and marketing campaigns.
The Experience You’ll Need:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of enterprise healthtech sales experience, with a focus on large-scale deals.
- 4+ years of recent experience selling to public health entities (county, state, or federal).
- Proven success managing multimillion-dollar annual quotas and 7-figure contracts.
- Experience building and leading sales teams in a health technology setting.
- Industry Expertise:
- Deep understanding of public health, including behavioral health software and services.
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and RFPs.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
- Analytical mindset for interpreting sales data and refining strategies.
- Personal Attributes:
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for scaling organizations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing across all levels.

Compensation Disclosure
The anticipated base salary for this position is $215,000 - $235,000 based on the Los Angeles market. The base salary offered may vary depending on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, certifications, and the geographic location where the role will be performed.
Please note that the listed compensation details apply to the base salary only and do not include additional elements of the total compensation package, such as commissions, performance bonuses, stock options, or benefits. The final compensation package will be determined by evaluating the candidate’s qualifications in relation to market standards and internal pay equity.
