Lead SAP Financial Accounting Specialist
What The Role Is
We are seeking a Senior SAP Financial Accounting Specialist with 5–7 years of experience and strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Applications, the Senior SAP Financial Accounting Specialist will have hands-on experience in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and Tax (TAFT), and will support the business post-implementation by ensuring system stability, optimizing processes, and assisting end-users.
Knowledge of Treasury, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting is a plus. Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Renewable Energy is preferred.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide day-to-day support for SAP S/4HANA Accounting, Treasury, and related modules.
- Lead requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and go-live for Ariba modules.
- Conduct workshops with Treasury, Accounting, Financial, and Tax teams, identifying process improvements and enhancements
- Collaborate with offshore delivery teams and stakeholders, providing technical and functional oversight
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Should have exposure in Enable Payment process, Establish Closing Schedule, Close Period, Process Year-End Adjustments, Carry Balance Forward, Close Year-End, and 1099 Processing.
- Maintain and validate master data, including Chart of Accounts, Bank Accounts, and Business Partners.
- Support testing and validation for upgrades, patches, and new functionalities.
- Conduct user training and create documentation for processes and best practices.
- Facilitate integration error resolution (e.g., Banking, Vertex, etc.) and ensure data consistency across systems.
- Assist with compliance and audit requirements related to finance, treasury, accounting, etc. processes.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in supporting SAP S/4HANA (Accounting, Treasury, Fixed Asset).
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Excellent documentation skills and highly skilled in Microsoft..
What Would Be Nice
- Experience with Coupa or Ariba.
- SAP S/4HANA certification.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Special Purpose Ledger, Consolidation, Cost center Accounting, Profit center Accounting, In-House cash, Internal Orders, Real Estate Management, Lease Accounting, Treasury, and Concur).
- Familiarity with SAP VIM and Fiori applications.
- Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Renewable Energy.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$135,000 - $170,000 USD
