About The Position
The Vice President of Payer Solutions' primary responsibility is developing and closing product and service opportunities. This role is responsible for providing all aspects of business development and support for health plan product development, new business sales, and risk optimization within the more heavily evolving markets of commercial and Medicare.
This role is based on-site at our Carmel, IN Headquarters, five days a week. While we are an in-office organization, we do our best to offer flexibility when needed, ensuring both work-life balance and uninterrupted business operations.

Responsibilities
- Open and mature business within all health plans.
- Revenue-driven direct sales leader who takes full ownership of advancing our brand while delivering exceptional client satisfaction.
- Create and articulate a unique and compelling value proposition in partnership with our SMEs and the executive leadership team, so client decision-makers clearly grasp the short and long-term business and financial value of a relationship.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across our internal teams through delivery consulting, executive leadership, and operations, as well as with external vendors, partners, and third-party advisors.
- Build a sales strategy and be able to lead RFP's, RFI's and RFQ's for new clients.
- Maintain senior level client relationships with existing clients while exploring all up-selling and consulting business opportunities.
- Meet and exceed sales revenue targets and prepare accurate pipeline activity reports.
- Identify potential leads independently (or with others) through networking, maturing relationships, trade shows, public speaking and / or other sources in the assigned markets.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent sales opportunities.
- Ability to maintain new name and add-on business while maintaining solid profit and delivery margins.
- Deal and contract management skills, including the ability to propose business terms, present and negotiate agreements, and leverage financial models to drive informed decisions.
- Analyze market trends, develop effective strategies, consistently meeting sales objectives.
- Work closely with all internal client stakeholders: delivery, sales management, operations, legal in the pursuit of client satisfaction and delivery profitability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years sales experience with a focus on large enterprises.
- Executive board room presence with proficiency with verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate across departments and disciplines to motivate influencers and decision makers to take action.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively on solutions to complex issues, develop and present viable alternatives using Clinical Architecture's products and services.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work across a large and complex matrix of stakeholders, coupled with the ability to thrive in an environment of change and fluctuating priorities.
