The Role
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Recruiter's responsibilities include ensuring Avanath attracts, hires, and retains top talent while building a strong talent pipeline. The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator, capable of managing competing, time-sensitive priorities without compromising the integrity of the process, and able to clearly articulate Avanath's culture and vision.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of related recruiting experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
- Experience working within the real estate industry preferred.
- Outcome-oriented and operates with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively by phone and email.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Should have good comfort level with integrating multiple applications to streamline operations through technology solutions.
- Must have the flexibility and ability to travel periodically/regularly, depending on company needs, with some overnight travel required.
- Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Must maintain a positive, upbeat demeanor under stressful conditions.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish highly desired
- Previous experience with ADP (HRIS) and Greenhouse (ATS) is highly desired.
Key Accountabilities
- Source candidates using the Applicant Tracking System and other job boards/sources.
- Open and close requisitions, generate correspondence, prepare offer letters, record candidate interviews/screenings/notes, and ensure proper disposition of all applicants.
- Proactively source candidates from multiple channels.
- Execute employment offer process, including establishing salary ranges, incentives, start dates, etc., in collaboration with HR partners and hiring managers.
- Monitor and execute Recruiting Standard Operating Practices.
- Comply with all company policies, as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define hiring criteria consistent with job descriptions.
- Maintain appropriate records and statistics; prepare reports as needed.
- Assist with reporting requirements as necessary.
- Generate and submit weekly updates and reports related to talent acquisition initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with the HR department to align on Avanath’s hiring needs and organizational goals.
- Promote Avanath’s reputation as a “best place to work.”
- Advise candidates on Avanath’s benefits, salary, and company culture.
- Represent Avanath internally and externally at events to network and build relationships with potential candidates and local communities.
- Manage candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
- Suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities.
- Assist with execution of HR responsibilities during takeovers/acquisitions, including new hire onboarding.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- The incumbent in this position is classified as essential staff and is expected to report to work and adhere to all safety and business protocols.
- Frequent sitting and walking.
- Frequent travel to other business offices, communities, and events via airline, train, and automobile.
- Repetitive use of the computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone
- Reading, comprehending, writing, performing calculations, and communicating verbally.
- May work in an elevated site, may walk on uneven ground.
- Occasional squatting, bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, pushing, and pulling..
