Commvault is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Business Operations team. This role focuses on providing operational support, reporting, and analysis to the marketing organisation. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Marketing Operations team, partnering with marketing leaders internationally to deliver data-driven insights, track performance, support planning, and manage leads.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, recommend process improvements, and address real-time reporting challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyse, and communicate insights related to marketing pipeline, campaign performance, and return on investment.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of marketing dashboards and KPIs, ensuring consistency in metrics and reporting standards across the organisation.
  • Develop an understanding of underlying systems and operating models to assess their impact on reporting, identify data gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare and analyse weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the EMEA marketing organisation, including materials for executive and board-level meetings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to interpret large data sets, respond to business queries, analyse trends, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Provide guidance to marketing stakeholders on the use and interpretation of dashboards and reports.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, IT, and Operations teams to recommend process improvements, develop reporting solutions, and support lead management.
  • Support EMEA Marketing and Sales leadership by:
    • Analysing marketing pipeline data to inform planning and performance measurement.
    • Partnering with regional sales operations to align on shared goals and KPIs.
    • Supporting business initiatives, KPI definition, and special projects.
  • Contribute to business reviews through preparation of reports, presentations, and analysis.
  • Manage workflows, project tracking, and request prioritisation.
  • Prepare presentations and deliver clear insights to marketing leadership.
  • Develop targeted campaign lists using Salesforce (SFDC) and third-party data sources.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of SFDC campaign data and compliance with internal standards.
  • Oversee adherence to lead management processes, including data quality, GDPR compliance, and appropriate data usage.
  • Represent Marketing Operations in cross-functional initiatives and testing activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in marketing operations or analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Experience with sales and marketing technologies (e.g. Salesforce, Anaplan, Bizible, Marketo) is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL is an advantage; willingness to learn is required.
