The Opportunity...
 

Commvault is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) organization with a focus on Endpoint Engineering and Modern Device Management. This role will lead the design, engineering, automation, and lifecycle management of endpoint platforms that support a global workforce across multiple regions and business functions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with operational leadership and is passionate about improving employee productivity through scalable, secure, and frictionless endpoint experiences. 


This position will serve as a senior technical leader within the DEX organization, partnering closely with Infrastructure, Security, Identity, Collaboration, AV, and Help Desk teams to modernize endpoint services and improve operational maturity across the enterprise. 

 

What You'll Do...
 

Endpoint Engineering & Modern Management 

  • Lead the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise endpoint platforms across Windows and macOS environments  

  • Engineer and maintain modern endpoint management solutions including Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Jamf Pro, and Microsoft Autopilot  

  • Develop and maintain endpoint standards, security baselines, compliance policies, and configuration management practices  

  • Manage operating system upgrades, application deployment strategies, patch management, and endpoint compliance initiatives at enterprise scale  

  • Support zero-touch provisioning and modern workplace initiatives  
     

Digital Employee Experience (DEX) 

  • Improve endpoint reliability, performance, and employee experience through proactive engineering and operational improvements  

  • Leverage telemetry, analytics, and DEX tooling to identify trends, reduce recurring incidents, and improve user productivity  

  • Partner with Service Desk leadership to drive root cause analysis and reduce escalations through automation and platform improvements  

  • Support executive and high-visibility user populations with scalable engineering solutions  
     

Automation & Platform Engineering 

  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, scripting frameworks, APIs, and orchestration tools  

  • Build scalable remediation, deployment, and self-service workflows  

  • Standardize engineering practices and operational procedures to improve consistency and efficiency  

  • Contribute to infrastructure automation and endpoint-as-code initiatives where applicable  
     

Security & Compliance 

  • Partner with Security and Identity teams to implement secure endpoint configurations and zero-trust initiatives  

  • Support vulnerability remediation, conditional access, endpoint hardening, and compliance enforcement  

  • Ensure endpoint platforms align with enterprise governance, audit, and security standards  
     

Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Serve as a technical lead and escalation point for complex endpoint and systems engineering issues  

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical development across regional support and engineering teams  

  • Lead technical projects from planning and architecture through implementation and operational transition  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global IT teams to align endpoint strategy with broader infrastructure and employee experience goals  

 

Who You Are...

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, systems engineering, or enterprise endpoint management  

  • Strong experience managing enterprise Windows environments  

  • Experience supporting macOS platforms in enterprise environments  

  • Deep expertise with:  

  • Microsoft Intune  

  • MECM/SCCM  

  • Microsoft Autopilot  

  • Jamf Pro  

  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD  

  • Group Policy and modern device management  

  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience  

  • Experience supporting global enterprise environments and distributed teams  

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across operating systems, identity, networking, and application management  

  • Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and automated endpoint solutions  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills  

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience integrating endpoint workflows with ServiceNow  

  • Experience supporting collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom etc.  

  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and CI/CD practices  

  • Relevant certifications such as:  

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate  
    • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert  

    • Jamf Certifications  

    • ITIL Foundation

Pay Range

$72,250 - $140,300 USD
