The Manager, Marketing Technology owns Commvault’s Adobe Solution Suite and field marketing event technology platforms, accountable for both their day-to-day reliability and their long-term evolution. This role defines how the platforms scale, integrates new capabilities, and directly shapes how the marketing organization executes and measures demand programs. The primary technical scope covers Adobe Marketo Engage, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). This role also supports Adobe Real-Time CDP, Target, and GenStudio, scoped to user management and field mapping.

Beyond the Adobe stack, this role administers Knak and Splash in support of the Field Marketing team, and provides technology leadership for Commvault’s SHIFT user conference and roadshow programs. As the team’s representative to the Marketing AI Council, this role has direct ownership of evaluating, piloting, and operationalizing AI-powered capabilities across the MarTech stack. The Manager, Marketing Technology builds close partnerships with the Digital, Campaign, Field Marketing, and Business Technology teams to deliver a stack that is not only stable, but continuously improving.

Position Responsibilities:

Adobe Solution Suite Administration

  • Serve as primary platform administrator for Adobe Marketo Engage, including program architecture, lead lifecycle management, scoring models, smart list governance, and integration health.
  • Manage Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) campaign and journey configuration, ensuring proper audience targeting, channel orchestration, and content personalization in collaboration with campaign teams.
  • Support Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) data views, workspace setup, and reporting infrastructure in partnership with Marketing Analytics.
  • Monitor platform performance, maintain technical documentation, and proactively identify and resolve integration or configuration issues across the Adobe stack.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Adobe platform capabilities, driving adoption and enabling marketing stakeholders through training and best practice guidance.
  • Define and maintain a platform roadmap for the Adobe Solution Suite, including capability gaps, consolidation opportunities, and net-new features that advance marketing performance and scalability.

Field Marketing Technology – Knak & Splash

  • Administer Knak for email and landing page template management, user access, and platform governance in support of field marketing campaign execution.
  • Manage Splash event technology platform, including event setup, registration configuration, user access, and integration with Marketo and Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Partner with the Field Marketing team to ensure both platforms are properly configured, integrated, and optimized to support pipeline-generating programs.

Event Technology Support – SHIFT & Roadshows

  • Provide marketing technology support for Commvault’s annual SHIFT user conference, including event registration systems and attendee journey orchestration.
  • Support roadshow programs with technology setup, registration workflows, lead capture, and post-event data integration back into Marketo and SFDC.
  • Collaborate with event, demand generation, and marketing operations stakeholders to ensure seamless technology execution before, during, and after events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

  • Partner with the Digital, Campaign, Field Marketing, and Business Technology teams to maintain integration health across the broader MarTech stack.
  • Contribute to MarTech governance practices including user access management, platform documentation, change management processes, and vendor relationship support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform efficiency, reduce technical debt, and enhance marketing team self-sufficiency through automation and tooling improvements.
  • Partner with the Marketing AI Council on the evaluation and enablement of AI features and agentic workflows across the MarTech stack, helping operationalize intelligent automation into day-to-day marketing execution.

People Management

  • Directly manage 1 Marketing Technology Specialist, providing day-to-day direction, workload prioritization, and ongoing performance feedback.
  • Coach and develop team members through regular 1:1s, goal setting, and skills development aligned to the MarTech roadmap and individual career growth.
  • Balance hands-on platform work with team leadership, serving as a player/coach who actively contributes to execution while enabling the team to grow in capability and ownership.

Position Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience administering Adobe Marketo Engage; Adobe Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including user management and field mapping.
  • Experience with event and content marketing platforms such as Knak, Splash, or comparable tools.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, lead management, and campaign execution workflows.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) CRM and Marketo-SFDC integration patterns.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent platform initiatives with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting in-person marketing events from a technology and operations perspective is a plus.
  • 6–8+ years in Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, or a related technical marketing role, with demonstrated hands-on platform administration experience. Prior people management experience required; this is a player/coach role that combines direct platform ownership with responsibility for developing and guiding a direct report.

Pay Range

$93,500 - $163,300 USD
