Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize service requests, utilizing agency action plans to meet target dates and production goals.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training, adapting materials to agency needs and delivering sessions in-person or via webinar.
- Conduct assessments, audits, and incident investigations in line with safety programs and agency policies.
- Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for injury data and trend analysis.
- Support injury/illness prevention, safety, industrial hygiene, and AIPP compliance.
- Work independently to provide on-site health and safety support, transferring knowledge to agency personnel.
- Collaborate in a team environment, understanding and adapting to client needs, building strong relationships, and promoting a safety culture.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet all AIPP qualifications list below:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Occupational Health and Safety experience is required
Education and or Credentials:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
And OR one of the advanced safety credentials listed below:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
- Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer (CET)
- Safety Trained Supervisor (STS)
- Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Industrial Hygiene in Training (IHIT)
- Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM)
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
- Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE)
- Certified Risk Manager (CRM)
- Certified Director of Safety (CDS)
- Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
Other Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong assessment, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Extended period of working via computer | Sitting for extended periods of time
