Environmental Manager
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey 

About Us:
CMI is expanding! We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Environmental Manager to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about environmental compliance and sustainability, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company adherence to all relevant environmental regulations and permits.

  • Environmental Sampling and Monitoring: Oversee sampling, monitoring, and analysis programs.

  • Data Management and Reporting: Compile, interpret, and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.

  • Site Investigation and Remediation: Manage environmental site assessments, corrective actions, and remediation projects.

  • Environmental & HazMat Program Management: Lead hazardous materials management, waste reduction, and environmental risk mitigation efforts.

  • Audits and Inspections: Conduct internal audits and inspections, ensuring continuous compliance and readiness for external reviews.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Environmental Manager role.

  • Industry experience within the chemical, food, or fragrance sectors.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Education and Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Professional certification such as CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

  • Capable of climbing ladders, stooping, crawling, and bending.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check and potential drug screening.

  • Availability for overtime and flexible working hours as needed.

  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance from the work site.
