Environmental Health and Safety Manager | Relocation Offered
Job Summary:
The EHS Manager will lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives for a battery manufacturing facility. You'll manage day-to-day operations, promote a safety-first culture, and drive compliance through effective EHS programs. Working closely with production teams, you'll assess risks, implement best practices, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and guide teams to ensure safe practices and EHS compliance.
- Identify and mitigate safety risks within production areas.
- Act as a subject matter expert for EHS programs, including LOTO, machine guarding, and respiratory protection.
- Lead investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety evaluations for equipment and processes.
- Analyze safety data and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years in a senior EHS role, with strong experience in manufacturing and regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO 45001, EPA).
- Proven leadership and coaching experience, with a focus on safety culture.
- Knowledge of Behavior-Based Safety programs and Lean Six Sigma.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- ASP, CSP, or CIH certifications are preferred.

- Sit: 40%, Walk: 30%, Stand: 20%, Lift: 10% (up to 35 lbs. occasionally with team assistance).
