Position Summary: 

As a Corporate Sales Executive at CMI, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and managing key accounts nationally. This role focuses on developing strong client relationships, securing new contracts, and expanding CMI’s presence in, environmental health and safety (EHS), and construction safety services sectors. The ideal candidate will be a proactive sales professional with a proven track record of closing deals and managing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities: 

Lead Generation and Business Development: 

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Follow up on leads from internal and external sources.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct market research to identify prospects and stay informed on industry trends and client needs.

Sales Execution and Account Management: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to win new contracts and increase revenue for CMI’s services.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Deliver exceptional service to existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for account growth.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of sales activities using CRM tools.

Collaboration and Networking: 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, to ensure smooth onboarding and service fulfillment for clients.
  • Represent CMI at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate new leads and network with potential clients.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with prospects and existing clients, following up on all leads from events.

Reporting and Sales Metrics: 

  • Regularly track and report on sales performance to management.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through the development and execution of a strategic sales plan.
  • Provide internal teams with client feedback on market trends, client needs, and potential service offerings.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably with national or large accounts.
  • Experience selling to the commercial construction, safety services, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to network, build relationships, and present to potential clients.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems for tracking and managing sales activities.

Additional Information: 

  • Ability to travel to client sites, conferences, and sales events, including driving, flying, and overnight stays.
  • Comfortable working Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary based on industry requirements (e.g., construction).
  • Physically able to tour various job sites, including construction, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed for client meetings, conferences, and networking events.
