Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Deltek and demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage invoicing, payment processing, and maintain AR aging reports to ensure timely collections.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collections: Monitor and follow up on overdue payments while maintaining professional communication with clients.
- Accounting Functions: Assist in monthly closing procedures, prepare journal entries, and support the preparation of financial statements.
- Deltek Software Utilization: Use Deltek to manage and report on financial transactions, ensuring data integrity.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve any financial discrepancies or queries.
Requirements and Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience with Deltek software is required.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent experience in bookkeeping or accounting may be considered.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to work full-time on-site, with some potential for remote work as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
