Position Summary:
Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to support electrical operations on a mission-critical hospital construction project. This role is responsible for delivering daily pre-task plans, leading weekly toolbox talks across multiple crews, assisting with Lockout/Tagout procedures, conducting safety inspections and reports, and coordinating with other contractors to uphold high safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong field experience, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to lead safety efforts in a fast-paced, high-risk, mission critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver daily pre-task safety plans for electrical activities.
- Lead weekly toolbox talks across multiple crews.
- Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and energy control compliance.
- Conduct safety inspections and provide actionable recommendations.
- Mentor and train staff on safety protocols and best practices.
- Promote a positive safety culture through worker engagement.
- Participate in safety meetings with contractors and project teams.
- Lead initiatives like JSAs, audits, and permit processes.
- Facilitate orientations and safety training sessions.
Requirements & Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of direct construction safety oversight, preferably on mission-critical or healthcare projects.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout and energized work protocols.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards, with emphasis on Subpart K (Electrical).
- Demonstrated ability to assess jobsite hazards and implement effective controls.
- Proven experience leading safety training, toolbox talks, and field mentorship.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across trades, subcontractors, and general contractors.
- Clear and professional communication skills for incident reporting, documentation, and worker engagement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management platforms
Education & Certifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (must be obtained within the last 5 years).
- NFPA 70e
- BCSP credentials such as STS-C, CHST, or CSP highly preferred.
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on rough or uneven terrain.
- Capability to climb ladders, stoop, crawl, and bend as required by job tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as part of site inspections or safety equipment handling.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility for overtime and varied work hours based on project demands.
- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance (no relocation, travel, or per diem provided).
