We are currently looking to hire a Security Driver to join our team embedded with our client in New York City! This position requires working in New York, New York. 

*This is a full-time position that will provide executive driving services, as required, and with some last-minute requests. The client's transportation needs will determine regular days and hours of work. This may include day, evening, and night driving, including coverage of weekends and holidays, as necessary.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Security Driver will provide safe and timely vehicle transport for the client and their guests in and around New York City. This role is expected to perform the following functions: develop and execute advance work/route planning, maintain vehicle servicing requirements, and ensure punctual and satisfactory client transport. The Security Driver will be expected to work directly with clients, guests, security teams, internal teams, external stakeholders, and key business partners to deliver best-in-class driving services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a “white-glove” driving service as the personal driver for the client and guests, including companion animals.
  • Safeguards Principal and guests from all forms of security and safety hazards, ensuring the safety and security of passengers during transit
  • Coordinates logistics and plans all details relating to the Principal's or guest’s physical location, including movements in, out, and around the site while preparing for emergencies and other contingencies
  • Operates vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner
  • Develop and execute operation plans, route planning, and advance work, preparing routes in advance, including alternate routes
  • Conducts vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level
  • Identifies threats and intervenes along the route when appropriate
  • Renders aid in the event of illness, accident, or other safety hazards
  • Work with home office staff  and security teams to ensure a coordinated pick-up/drop-off routine
  • Identify, track, log, and coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance requirements 
  • Develop and implement internal processes and procedures
  • Maintain excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs,  requests for support, service issues, and deliverables
  • Proactively communicate with the client regarding identified delays or other route issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of equivalent or relevant industry experience
  • Advanced medical training (EMT, WEMT, WFR, TCCC/TECC)
  • Operational experience driving high-profile executives or high-net-worth passengers
  • Current New York Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm
  • May be required to obtain a guard card 
  • Must have a New York State Security Guard license with armed endorsement
  • Thorough understanding of local and federal laws and regulations related to personal driver services
  • Well-versed in driving in and around the state of New York
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Operational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details, and/or high-profile corporate security teams 
  • Emotional intelligence and a customer-focused approach 
  • A successful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environment 
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful driving conditions
  • High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with senior leadership
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Google Suite and MS Office applications  
  • Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles
  • This position requires up to 25% travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience providing executive driving service for individuals with mobility issues
  • Defensive Driving and/or EVOC certifications
  • Executive Protection and/or Tactical training preferred
  • Working knowledge and comfortable with the use of communication apps (ie. Signal, WhatsApp).

New York City, New York Pay Range

$50 - $55 USD
