General Summary:

The Commission Analyst is responsible for ensuring contract opportunities are accurate within corporate business applications. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to analyze the accuracy of deal value inquiries against what has been stated in business rules and parameters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to cross-functional teams, like payroll and FP&A, with a high attention to detail
  • Ensures commission or sales incentive payments have been properly processed
  • Responsible for accurately calculating commissions for the sales team based on bookings as well as providing support and answering inquiries related to commission payouts
  • This individual will work alongside Finance and Sales Operations to ensure that employee commission plans are properly created, maintained and updated accordingly in the commission system
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
  • May coach and review the work of other team members
  • Helps maintain data integrity and proper deal economics in Salesforce
  • Reviews opportunity values across respective company platforms for accuracy and makes the necessary 
    adjustments
  • Communicates deal changes to the necessary teams
  • Processes commission clawbacks for the Sales team
  • Analyzes, identifies, and recommends areas for process improvements to reduce the risk of errors
  • Researches and resolves data discrepancies as necessary
  • Reports on team data monthly and maintains tight deadlines
  • Works to implement process improvement plans while proactively identifying issues
  • Acts as SME on commissions or deal value-related inquires

• Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
• Advanced knowledge of applicable work area
• Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirements
• Ability to follow and reinforce standard operating procedures
• Strong knowledge of general quote to cash process
• Ability to meet firm deadlines with multiple, ongoing priorities
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong ability to problem solving and think creatively when faced with problems
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Preferred: Experience with commissions and/or contract processing
• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce

Working Conditions:

• Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
• 0-10% travel may be required
• May require flexible working hours
