Job Summary:
 
The Modernization Project Manager plays a critical role in driving successful partner modernization initiatives focused on transitioning from disconnected legacy systems to the unified ConnectWise platform. This role ensures coordinated execution across Software Consultants, Technical Services Specialists, and Modernization teams to deliver predictable, outcome-driven technology transitions, strong platform adoption, and long-term partner (customer) success.
The Project Manager leads structured planning, consistent reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain alignment, reduce risk, and drive timely delivery of measurable business outcomes. This role is accountable not only for delivery execution but also for ensuring partners are successfully onboarded to the modern ConnectWise platform and positioned to realize operational value from their modernization investment.
The modernization initiative enables partners to consolidate fragmented/legacy tools into the ConnectWise platform, delivering improved operational efficiency, automation, centralized visibility, standardized workflows, and scalable service delivery capabilities that set partners up for sustained success.
 
Job Description:
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings and warm calls, prepare agendas, document outcomes, maintain communication, and ensure a smooth handoff to the Partner Success Team. 
  • Handle escalations by researching, analyzing, and documenting findings. 
  • Identify and help mitigate project risks and issues. 
  • Work with project teams to define requirements, objectives, and scope. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams such as Consulting, Operations, Sales, and Support. 
  • Generate status reports for partners and stakeholders, sharing project insights. 
  • Manage project timelines, plans, and budgets to support overall execution. 
  • Monitor project progress, milestones, and budgets, and identify deviations from the plan. 
  • Maintain and organize accurate project documentation and follow up on action items. 
  • Allocate resources to ensure tasks are properly staffed. 
  • Provide administrative and cross-functional support with attention to detail. 
  • Coordinate modernization initiatives to move partner environments from legacy systems to the ConnectWise platform. 
  • Collaborate with Software Consultants, Technical Services Specialists, and Modernization teams to align timelines and delivery milestones. 
  • Facilitate project kickoff calls, readiness reviews, and checkpoints to clarify scope, responsibilities, and adoption milestones. 
  • Maintain consistent reporting and track risks, milestones, and executive summaries. 
  • Monitor project health and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers. 
  • Drive accountability to ensure commitments are completed on time and meet project objectives. 
  • Support partners’ readiness for the ConnectWise platform, including structured handoffs and transition planning. 
  • Track partner adoption milestones, identify readiness gaps, and escalate risks impacting long-term success. 
  • Standardize delivery processes with modernization leadership to improve repeatability, adoption, and scalability. 
  • Capture insights and lessons learned for continuous improvement across modernization programs. 
  • Assist with transitioning completed projects to Partner Success teams for ongoing support and value realization.
