Content Marketing Copywriter

We have an opening for a Content Marketing Copywriter who will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Content Marketing, as well as the Content Marketing Designer, to create engaging, educational thought leadership content aimed at helping small businesses get the word out about their business.
You will create copy for various formats, including blogs, infographics, customer case studies and spotlights, eBooks, and more. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders like Product Marketing, Product, and others to ensure your copy supports our product positioning and digital marketing best practices.
What you’ll do:
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers and the small business audience
- Working with the Sr. Manager, Content Marketing, to develop concept content that helps educate prospects and customers on digital marketing best practices and strategies
- Write and deliver clean, compelling copy that fits the assignment as given or discussed, on materials throughout the funnel, including:
- Blog
- Infographic
- Whitepaper
- eBook
- Customer story
- Community post
- Copy-edit other team members’ work as needed, providing grammatical and syntactic recommendations
- Interview relevant contributors, such as customers, internal experts, and others
- Refine and edit copy as needed throughout the creation and design process
- Other copywriting duties as needed
Who you are:
- 5+ years of copywriting and editing
- A portfolio of excellent writing products, including personality-rich, engaging pieces
- You have a passion for small businesses and helping them succeed
- Tactical understanding of SEO a plus
- WordPress or similar CMS experience a plus
- Experience interviewing others
- BA/BS degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Marketing, or equivalent field desired
