Design Consultant

5161 C Highway 98 West, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

About Us: Construction Resources is a premier provider of high-end building materials and interior home products, renowned for our dedication to quality and innovation. Our design centers are celebrated for their sophisticated product offerings and exceptional customer service. We are seeking talented Design Center Consultants to join our team and provide outstanding guidance and support to our clients as they navigate their projects.

Position Overview:

The Design Consultant is a highly skilled in-house expert who guides homeowners, designers, and trade clients through the design, selection, and purchasing process for decorative plumbing fixtures. Blending technical knowledge with aesthetic sensibility, this role leads clients through product decisions that align with both their style and project requirements.
The Design Consultant owns the full plumbing process — from consultation and quoting to strategic pricing and project coordination — while collaborating with Account Managers, Design Consultants, and the Plumbing Operations team. This role also plays a key part in promoting the plumbing division to clients working with other CR Home business units and supporting showroom staff through ongoing product knowledge training. Travel between showrooms is required.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Provide personalized design consultation to clients, helping them select plumbing fixtures and accessories that align with their architectural plans, interior design goals, and functional needs.
•    Build cohesive plumbing fixture packages that reflect the overall project vision, considering finish coordination, layout limitations, water flow needs, and installation specs.
•    Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of plumbing product lines, including fixtures, faucets, rough-ins, accessories, and new innovations.
•    Provide strategic pricing and manage plumbing scope details for larger residential projects; collaborate with account owners to ensure plumbing design and logistics are executed to project standards.
•    Prepare detailed, accurate quotations and order packages using company systems (CRM, SpecBook, Syspro), ensuring smooth order processing and follow-up as needed.
•    Serve as the client’s primary contact for all plumbing inquiries from selection through final order confirmation, remaining available to support the client and internal teams throughout fulfillment as needed.
•    Partner with Design Consultants to ensure a warm handoff of new clients and maintain strong communication with the Plumbing Operations team to support accurate order entry and on-time deliveries.
•    Play a key role in ensuring showroom teams receive up-to-date product information and training and support ongoing education about plumbing trends and best practices.
•    Support business growth by identifying opportunities to introduce our plumbing products to existing company clients across other divisions and cultivating new relationships — helping to drive repeat business and client satisfaction across all service lines.
•    Lead or participate in showroom "lunch and learns," providing product updates and technical training to internal staff on plumbing fixtures, trends, and installation considerations.
•    Travel between CR Home showrooms as needed to support client consultations, cross-functional collaboration, and business unit alignment.
•    Attend industry events and support select weekend hours as scheduled to enhance client engagement and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

•    3+ years’ experience in decorative plumbing sales, showroom sales, or plumbing design/consulting.
•    Strong technical knowledge of plumbing fixtures, rough-ins, compatibility, and installation requirements; ability to read plans is a plus.
•    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
•    Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•    Proficiency in CRM, order-entry systems, and Microsoft Office.
•    Collaborative, solutions-focused team player with a proactive mindset and a passion for plumbing products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct reports.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
