CAD Programmer

The CAD Operator/Programmer is responsible for programming equipment in order to efficiently increase and improve production of stone products to meet customers’ specific orders per business unit, including Retail, Builder, and Commercial accounts. CAD programmers design, develop, test, and maintain tools and systems used for computer-aided design processes.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for programming equipment - CNC programmed wet saw - used to cut granite, marble, and quartz materials.
- Meet Key Performance Metrics and/or Productivity Goals as defined by the business.
- Strive to improve business performance.
- Apply appropriate safety procedures and utilize proper equipment to protect Company and customer assets; ensure the Team works safely.
- Ensure that all products produced meet Quality Standards.
- Work as a dedicated team member providing fast, flexible, and excellent service to our customers.

Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CAD Operator experience is required.
- Experience in the stone industry.
- Proficient in using software to create designs for complex projects.
- 1 to 3 years’ design experience, preferred.
- Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment.
- Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials.
- Previous experience in the construction or distribution industry.
- Previous experience as machine operator or working with a wet saw.
