IT Support Intern

POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Support Intern supports the Information Technology department by assisting with daily IT operations, technical support, device management, and documentation efforts for Construction Resources (CR). This individual will work closely with IT leadership and technicians to support end users, analyze support trends, and contribute to system improvements that support business operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues; escalate issues as needed.
- Analyze IT service tickets to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support Intune device management, including device entry, billing support, and cell phone integration.
- Assist with device deployment, including end‑user hardware and networking devices.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge base development, including how‑to guides and troubleshooting procedures.
- Conduct network device inventory to ensure accurate asset tracking.
- Assist with software updates and patch management to maintain system security and performance.
- Support user account management, including setup, access changes, and permissions under supervision.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by IT leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team‑oriented environment.
- Detail‑oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, basic networking, and hardware concepts preferred.
- Exposure to ticketing systems, device management tools, or IT documentation is a plus, but not required.
